On seeing stars

One of the toughest transitions to city life for me was losing the ability to look or go outside and see the stars. Light pollution means that the often-beautiful city lights drown out the always-beautiful nighttime sky.

There’s this one tiny place on the bridge where Main St. transforms into St. Mary’s that lets you see the stars again, though: far enough away from the big lights while still in the city, you get a decent glimpse of a proper sky there.

I like the sky. I like clouds and stars and blue and constellations. I like the sky so much that my blog’s title is based around it.

I really need to go for a walk to there again. I miss the stars.

  1. I understand.. I live far enough to see the stars every night..

    I wouldn’t trade if for the world…
