Pulling this off will be a flight of fancy
Wednesday September 24, 2008 | RandomFor my original print line this year, I’m going to do a series of bird paintings. That is, once I get down to it and start working.
I love drawing birds. They’re stunning creatures that can assume a variety of poses and environments and can look however you want. I never draw real birds, I much prefer making up my own. I think this is a great way to get an all-ages line of work that has the potential for bookmarks, beautiful wall-worthy prints, and an appeal to the greater public instead of those who share my interests.
The series will be called “Fantastic Flight.” While there’s a paper folding book by the same name, I haven’t been able to find any illustration series the same, so I think I’m safe.
The con is only three weekends away… I hope I can manage everything I have to do.
Please keep an eye out in your favourite secondhand store for a suit I can turn into Dr. Girlfriend.
