More of Everything
Thu Sep 4, 08:50 | RandomLast night when I pulled into the Home Depot parking lot, my car started spewing white smoke from under the hood. It subsided and I wasn’t burned to a delicious crisp, but I can’t drive it any more.
During the weekend when I was yardsaling, I thought I saw it do the same thing but dismissed it as exhaust coming around when I turned in a back road.
I feel really bad about having to get a new car. My sister got Spazz initially and then her current car (that was recently totalled in an accident with a man “so filled with the love of God” that he did an illegal u-turn out of his mosque). Her next one has to be paid for herself, so she’s going all out.
I first got Spazz, who I’d still be driving were it not for the 23-year-old harlot on her way to the bar not paying attention. Then, I got Barney. Barney has been absolutely nothing but trouble – stalling, smoking, overheating – in the less-than-a-year I’ve owned it.
My sister got two cars and had to pay for her own, and now I’ve got two cars and really should have to pay for my own so as to be fair. Just because my sister’s car lasted through three total-worthy accidents and about four years of driving won’t make three cars equal to two in her eyes.
I finally got some paint samples from Home Depot though (while waiting for my car to cool down so I could get it home), and I think I’ve decided on a colour scheme. I got the okay to paint from my caretaker and just have to paint it back before I move out.
Living Room – a deep, rich red to energize me and keep me working. I also want to put this vinyl on the wall behind where I want the couch, in snow.
Kitchen – a beautiful robin’s-egg-ish blue. I want to put this on the walls just because of how adorable and fun it is.
Bedroom – one wall white, one wall black, one wall green, one wall red. A photography room.
Bathroom – this is the last room where I’m unsure as to what I want. I have a nice light lemon yellow, a nice light green, a light purple, and a pink to hold to the wall and see what I like.
I’m thinking I should just take a sum of money from my savings to properly furnish, paint, and design my apartment into something I like living in. It will encourage me not to move, and make me feel a little better about my space.
Packing is going slow. The more I move, the more I discover cupboards. A really reasonable person would just say “I haven’t opened this box since I moved here, I really don’t need it.” There are just some things I don’t want to part with, though, no matter how hard I try.
Mind you, I don’t know why I’m considering any of this. After all, the Large Hadron Collider is going to destroy us all in six days anyway.

Everything (and all at once) Apartment Woes and Comic Con Throes
A car is a car and how fair it is to your sister is not important. You should just look at it as it is, a vehicle, get’s you from A to B. And if you are not sure when it will next die then it should be humanely pur out of it’s misery.
I hate the people who buy new cars and pile them full of every accessory that they can contrive. For someone who walks everywhere it seems like a huge waste when it could all be going somewhere else.
But seriously lemon yellow? Now you are just going designer mad. That room will instantly become your least favorite. Pick an analagous colour scheme and stick with it.
Course I have never seen the swatches or the rooms so I can’t say for sure.
